At Langenhof Automobile, we want our customers to be well informed at all times. In this FAQ section, we answer the most important questions about purchasing, selling, reserving, viewing, exporting, and transporting our exclusive accident vehicles.
What vehicles do you purchase and sell?
We specialize in the purchase and sale of exclusive accident vehicles – from
sports cars and luxury sedans to high-quality accident vehicles of all brands.
Can I inspect a vehicle before purchasing it?
Yes, viewings are possible, but only during our opening hours and by prior appointment. We offer you the opportunity to view the vehicle live in Gronau, either in person on site or, if you prefer, digitally via video, so that you can see the quality of the vehicle for yourself in advance.
What payment methods are accepted?
Our preferred payment method is bank transfer. Cash payment is also possible under certain conditions. Please contact our sales team to discuss the details individually.
How can I reserve a vehicle?
Reservations can only be made against a deposit (minimum deposit: €1,000). The deposit can be paid by bank transfer, PayPal, or on site in cash or by card. The reservation becomes effective as soon as proof of payment of the deposit has been provided.
How long is the reservation valid?
A reservation is valid for 14 days after payment. For longer processing times, an additional deposit is required.
What happens if the vehicle is not picked up after reservation?
If the vehicle is not purchased, the deposit will generally remain with the seller, as the vehicle is reserved exclusively for you during the reservation period. In special cases, however, an individual solution can be agreed with our sales team.
Do you offer export processing and transportation?
Yes, upon request, we take care of the entire export process and offer worldwide transport solutions—fast, secure, and reliable.
Are tax-free (net) deliveries possible within the EU?
Yes, for companies with a valid VAT ID number. In addition, company documents and a copy of the company owner’s ID must be submitted. A deposit or partial payment must be made from the company account in order to clearly establish the identity of the buyer. After successful verification, the invoice will be issued net without German VAT.
How does exporting to a third-world country work?
We support you with the complete export process outside the EU. You will receive all necessary customs and export documents, and we can organize transport on request.
For exports, a deposit equal to the amount of VAT must be paid, which will be refunded upon presentation of proof of export.
Do you offer transfer plates?
Yes, depending on the vehicle, we can provide customs or temporary license plates:
- Temporary license plates: valid for 5 days
- Customs license plates: valid for 15 or 30 days
Please note that processing takes at least 1 business day.
Can transports be organized throughout Europe?
Yes, we offer transport solutions throughout the EU. There are also options outside the EU—please contact our sales team for more information. Vehicles must be paid for in full before we can arrange transport.
How soon will the vehicle be ready for collection?
The vehicle is ready for collection as soon as full payment has been received and all necessary documents are available. Our team will ensure that the collection process is quick and smooth.
Do the vehicles come from abroad, e.g. the USA?
No, all vehicles we offer were first registered in the European Union.
Do you also purchase vehicles that are total losses?
Yes, we also purchase vehicles with economic or technical total loss, provided they fit into our premium segment. A fair valuation is a matter of course.
